2012 UEFA Champions League final - Allianz Arena Munich

Frequency assignment procedure

Under section 55 of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) each frequency usage in Germany requires prior frequency assignment. This is granted by way of an individual assignment unless a general assignment has been issued.

For short-term frequency usage during the 2012 UEFA Champions League final a simplified assignment procedure is used.

For more information on short-term frequency assignments, see

Applications for frequency assignment should be made using the official forms (see below), to be sent by fax – and additionally by email, if possible – to the following address:

Bundesnetzagentur für Elektrizität, Gas,
Telekommunikation, Post und Eisenbahnen
Referat 223
Canisiusstr. 21
55122 Mainz
Germany
Fax: +49 6131 18 5610
E-mail: ShortTerm@BNetzA.de

Frequency assignment fees

The current fees for short-term use of frequencies at one location is €130 for the first frequency/channel assigned, and €50 for each additional frequency/channel.

Application form and additional information

Applications are to be submitted by

2 May 2012.

Applications received after that date will not be given equal priority. It cannot be guaranteed that applicants submitting later will receive a reply before the beginning of the event.

Notification of frequencies

With a view to ensuring efficient and interference-free frequency use during the 2012 UEFA Champions League final, it is also necessary to notify the Bundesnetzagentur für Elektrizität, Gas, Telekommunikation, Post und Eisenbahnen; (address see above) by 2 May 2012 of all frequency applications to be used within already existing frequency assignments or falling under a general assignment.

This applies to the period from 2 May – 19 May 2012 and covers an area of 10 km surrounding the stadiums. The Agency will inform you whether use will be permitted during the aforementioned period.

For notifying frequency applications, please use the following form:

Anzeige-UCLF2012-E (xls/239 KB)

NB:
The valid assignment number should be quoted.

Assistance in the selection of frequencies

Short-term frequency assignments cannot be granted in the frequency bands specified in the following list:

BNetzA-red-2011-E (pdf/21 KB)

Furthermore, a general assignment has been issued in respect of some frequencies. While the use of such frequencies does not require an additional assignment, it has to be notified to the Agency. These frequencies are given in the following list:

BNetzA-green-2011-E (pdf/84 KB)

Inspection of the equipment used

All equipment used on the basis of an indivdual assignment within the stadiums and in its vicinity (approx. 1 km) will be inspected and subsequently marked (with a sticker) by the Agency.

Equipment that is not in good working order or for which no frequency assignment (short-term, individual or general assignment) can be presented will not be marked and must be taken out of operation. The inspection will be carried out by Federal Network Agency staff. The Agency staff can be found in the Broadcast Compound or in the Media Center.
