Renewable Energy Sources
The Bundesnetzagentur undertakes a variety of tasks pursuant to the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG)
- monitoring the nationwide EEG equalisation scheme process between the distribution network operators, the transmission system operators and the electricity suppliers
- determining the level of financial payment for installations for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources
- publishing the capacity of the newly installed renewable energy installations (monthly)
- conducting the auction process for renewable energy installations
The PV registration portal and the installations register have merged into the core energy market data register.
The Bundesnetzagentur provides answers for questions relating to issues for which it is responsible. In particular, these include:
- the EEG cost redistribution mechanism and EEG surcharge
- EEG data collection processes
- registration procedures: photovoltaic and other renewable energy installations
- feed-in management and EEG grid connection
