Jochen Homann has been President of the Bundesnetzagentur in Bonn since 1 March 2012. Prior to this, he was responsible as State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology for energy policy, industrial policy and technology policy. From 2006 to 2008 Mr Homann was head of the directorate-general for economic policy, and before that in charge of the policy division for external economic affairs and the division for economic and structural policy research. From 1991 to 2001 Mr Homann headed the policy division in the directorate-general for economic and financial policy at the Federal Chancellery.
