European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP)

The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) is an association of 46 European countries. It conducts its work through three autonomous business committees. The chairs of these committees form the CEPT's presidency. As a regional organisation the institution has observer status in the Universal Postal Union (UPU). CERP deals with issues relating to the postal sector.

Organisation

CERP is made up of representatives from ministries and regulatory authorities from its 36 member countries. CERP is a regulatory policy body for the postal sector throughout Europe.
CERP's 36 member countries form the CERP plenary group and hold annual plenary meetings. Subordinate to the plenary group are a steering group and the working groups "UPU" (for topics related to the Universal Postal Union) and "Policy" (concerned with aspects of current regulatory policy).
