International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

In 2018, close cooperation between the two CEN and ISO committees responsible for the postal sector was initiated in their mutual interest.

The standards developed by ISO/TC 315 (Cold chain logistics) have an impact on postal services and logistics chains in Europe. It is therefore extremely important to consistently follow and contribute to activities and developments in the interests of Germany and Europe. This is also the only way to timely identify and avoid potential disparities with respect to existing UPU and CEN standards. In this context, the Bundesnetzagentur takes part in ISO/TC 315's plenary meetings as an active member and head of the delegation for Germany and regularly contributes to the work on standardisation within the subordinate groups.

Organisation

Technical Committee 315 currently comprises the plenary body and the following subordinate working groups and ad hoc groups:

The two ad hoc groups, SBP and CAG, deal with the strategic business plan and provide an advisory body to the Chair. At present, 19 countries take part in the meetings as active members and 14 countries as observers.
