CEER 2022-2025 Strategy

In the CEER 2022-2025 Strategy the European energy regulators state their commitment to empowering consumers for the energy transition. In addition, the regulators further commit to promoting a carbon-neutral society and economy by

  • integrating renewables and incentivising innovation
  • placing consumers are the centre of energy markets and empowering consumers to actively contribute to and benefit from a flexible energy system and
  • ensuring open, well-functioning and resilient markets nationally and in Europe.

CEER background

CEER serves as a platform for dialogue between the European energy regulatory authorities, covering those energy issues that do not fall under the area of responsibility of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). These include consumer protection, regulatory aspects of retail markets, the promotion of renewable energy and international cooperation.

More information on CEER's work can be found at www.ceer.eu. The CEER 2022-2025 Strategy Empowering Consumers for the Energy Transition is available to download at https://www.ceer.eu/2050.
